Management Team Bios

J. Anthony Nelson is the President of Nelson Risk Services.  Mr. Nelson has over 24 years of insurance and risk management experience including five years of experience as a company officer in charge of bottom line profitability. Mr. Nelson has spent many years with various companies including Allstate Insurance Company and American Bankers Insurance Group. (Known today as Assurant).His responsibilities included managing a profit center producing in excess of $150 million in annual revenues.  Mr. Nelson’s areas of expertise include but are not limited to commercial account management, international business and budget development, product marketing, expense control and risk management. In addition to acting as President of Nelson Risk Services, Mr. Nelson managed  a nationwide Homeowners Program for Land America Financial Group (LFG, New York Stock Exchange; a Fortune 500 company) and is The Director of Risk Management for the world renowned Breakers Resort in Palm Beach.

Juan Carlos is the Executive Vice President responsible for the Sales and Marketing of Nelson Risk Services. During his 11 years in the insurance industry, (6 at the executive management level), he has developed extensive experience with the handling of financial institutions insurance programs. Juan Carlos has worked with carriers such as American International Group (AIG), American Bankers Insurance Group (known today as Assurant), Property Insurance Agency, Integrand and Trans-Oceanic Life Insurance Company where he was C.O.O. Juan Carlos has practical in depth experience in Bank-assurance as well as managing insurance operations. Juan Carlos graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University with a B.S. in Business and subsequently completed his MBA at Inter American University with a major in Finance. During his insurance career he has obtained his CIC designations from the National Insurance Alliance and his A.I.S. from the Insurance Institute of America. Juan Carlos has authored several insurance articles published in prominent news papers in Puerto Rico and Caribbean.   Juan Carlos is an active member of The Society of Certified Insurance Counselors and the Insurance Institute of America.

James A. Fantin has been in the Banking/Finance Industry for over 17 years.  He is President/CEO of Worth Mortgage Company, which he founded in 1998.  He has had extensive training and experience with companies such as Conneticut National Bank, Shawmut National Bank, Mercedes Benz Credit Corporation, The Associates, Ford Consumer Finance and CityScape Mortgage Corporation.

He has published articles in The Real Estate Executive of the Palm Beaches and South Florida Business Journal.  He is in the 2004 Edition of The Who’s Who of Business Executives, Nominated for the Arthur E. Turner Award for Entrepreneur of the Year 2001 at Northwood University.  He is an active participant of Leadership Palm Beach County-Class 2004.

He holds a Florida Mortgage Brokers and Business License, Florida Realtors License.  He is a Member of the following Organizations: National Association of Realtors, Florida Association of Realtors, The Forum Club of the Palm Beaches, Palm Beach Yacht Club, Palm Beach Power and Sail Squadron and The Executives Association of the Palm Beach.
